Every car is different so these are just general suggestions about tying down cars. To be sure that you tying method is correct consult a sales person at AATC or your local dealer.
Cars can usually be tied three different ways:
Option 1: Use axles straps and ratcheting straps to tie off underneath the car if there is a secure tie off point. Cross straps so that they make an X in front and behind the car. This will keep the car from moving left and right while traveling.
Option 2: Use Slip Ring ratcheting straps to go through the wheels of vehicles that do not allow for tying underneath the vehicle. Make sure to add a Fleece sleeve to strap to prevent ruining finish on wheels. These straps should also be crossed in front and rear if possible to prevent shifting.
Option 3: If E-Track or extra D-Rings are installed in the correct locations Wheel Webs can be used. These are a great way to tie down a vehicle without worrying about damaging the wheels, suspension or low valences. Keep in mind that these straps require very precise planning and measurements. The location of the E-track or D-rings being used has a small margin for error when using Wheel Webs.
